Research

The Active Early Learning (AEL) curriculum was evaluated in a research study involving 16 early learning centres in early 2019. The research is led by the University of Canberra Research Institute for Sport and Exercise (UC-RISE) in collaboration with Australian and international expertise in early childhood physical, psychological, social and cognitive development.

The research project is undertaken in parallel with two other University of Canberra studies: The Australian Lifestyle of our Kids (LOOK) longitudinal study and the Physical Education Physical Literacy (PEPL) primary schools trials.
